Amber Dowling Globe and Mail Alternating between kid and adult perspectives creates a full family viewing experience, with plenty of subtle changes in the background and side characters to look out for as the central figures rotate. Mar 1, 2025 Full Review Jack Seale Guardian Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about... That idea powers Win or Lose, the studio’s latest TV series -- and in the moments where it commits to its ethos fully, it delivers a powerful appeal for empathy with a knowing smile. Rated: 3/5 Feb 21, 2025 Full Review Dan Einav Financial Times Win or Lose proves an apt title for what may be the studio’s most creative, and most controversial, release in years Rated: 4/5 Feb 20, 2025 Full Review Wesley Hunt Loud and Clear Reviews Win or Lose is another winner in the Pixar catalog. Rated: 4/5 Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Petrana Radulovic Polygon What makes Pixar’s Win or Lose so memorable isn’t just the splashy, fantastical moments; it’s that because the fantastical elements are in the characters’ heads, the story itself is incredibly grounded, more so than the typical Pixar movie. Mar 6, 2025 Full Review Rachel Ho Exclaim! A show like Win or Lose has the opportunity to present viewers, especially young people, with a reflection they can connect with and hopefully feel less alone — an opportunity Disney and Pixar wilfully (and spinelessly) balked at. D3Z 1 Pixar's Win Or Lose is certainly a winner in which not only each episode gives each characters time to focus and provide their side of the story, but it also connects very well with each of the episodes from start to end. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/25 Full Review Luke B Very good show, when I watched the trailer I thought it wouldn't be very good but I was wrong In my opinion Episode 1 was weak but I wasn't focused so I may be wrong. Episode 2 was alright I guess. Episode 3 and 4 were good with the daughter and her mums perspectives because you thought the mum didn't care about her game but actually she was going through stuff 5 and 6 was cool as Yuwen seemed like a jerk in iras pov but we understood why in the next episode. 7 was good, Kai's storyline was basic but relatable and good lesson on not pushing yourself too hard. And 8 finishing all the cliffhangers of 7 different stories but formatted so well with the coaches perspective and the end taught a good message that it didn't matter if they won or lost the game. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Powerfull I Serie entretenida con distintas interpretaciones para adultos y para niños, de esas historias que puedes ver con la familia y disfrutarla Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Eduardo S Me parecio una de las mejores series que eh visto de este 2025, aunque contiene muchos huecos argumentales, espero que disney no la arruine y saque una 2 temporada. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review Gavin A So I just finished episode 6 and have two episodes left. This short series has been the best thing I've watched from Pixar since the first inside out. Their attention to detail with the interwoven story is second to none. I am really loving win or lose. I want my kids and wife to watch it too, I think there are lessons sat here in this show that I want them to see for themselves. There is more heart in this show than a full series of Mork & Mindy, my hat is off to the team of win or lose. Looking forward to the next two episodes and the re-watch with my sheeple, Just kidding. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review William W Each kid's story was unique and interesting, with everything coming together in the end. The first half of the season didn't have good resolutions and not all the content there was entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
