A writer and producer working in television, Adam Armus got his start in the mid-1990s, writing for fantasy-adventure shows, including the syndicated hit "Xena: Warrior Princess," which starred Lucy Lawless, and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys," followed by "The Adventures of Sinbad" in and "Young Hercules." In 2002, Armus added sci-fi to his repertoire, writing for the Batman-related WB series, "Birds of Prey," where he also began producing. In '04, Armus again donned his producer's hat on 18 episodes of the romantic drama "Kevin Hill," which starred Kate Levering and former model Taye Diggs. Later, Armus joined the creative team of the successful NBC sci-fi drama "Heroes," along with writing partner Kay Foster. The duo had also worked together on the legal drama "The Practice," the sci-fi thriller "Night Stalker," and "Kevin Hill," among other series. Armus expanded his "Heroes" status from writer to co-executive producer in '07, working on dozens of episodes through the series finale in 2010.
