Al Fann (aka Al "Jocko" Fann) made his acting debut in the 1970 film "Cotton Comes to Harlem," followed by a bit part in the classic, star-studded crime drama"The French Connection." With his distinctive voice, Fann began providing the voices for cartoons, starting in 1978 with "Challenge of the SuperFriends," followed by "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" and "The Chipmunks." In 1986 he played a starring role on the TV series "He's the Mayor." Fann continued to make appearances on TV shows in the '90s, as well as in high-profile films such as Terry Gilliam's "The Fisher King," and "Frankie and Johnny" starring Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. Soon after, he played Detective Will Stratton on the crime-drama series "Bodies of Evidence." Fann has worked consistently into the '00s, with guest appearances on popular shows "The West Wing" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
