Charles McCaughan
Actor Charles McCaughan was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. McCaughan started his acting career landing roles in such films as the Anne Baxter dramedy "Jane Austen in Manhattan" (1980), the drama "Heat and Dust" (1983) with Julie Christie and the Christopher Reeve dramatic period piece "The Bostonians" (1984). He also appeared in "Hot Resort" (1985). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in the Kelly McGillis romance "The House on Carroll Street" (1988), the dramatic comedy "Slaves of New York" (1989) with Bernadette Peters and the thriller "Impulse" (1990) with Theresa Russell. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Tanya Roberts action film "Legal Tender" (1991) and the action movie "V.I. Warshawski" (1991) with Kathleen Turner. He also was featured in the TV movie "The Cisco Kid" (TNT, 1993-94). McCaughan most recently directed "Picture of Priority" (2001) with Jennifer Lyons.
