David Call
Actor David Call studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and then with the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. When he finished there, he began his professional career, with his first on-screen appearance being a small part in the biographical picture "The Notorious Bettie Page." The next year, he appeared in two film roles, in the dramas "The Architect" and "Beautiful Ohio," where he received top billing alongside William Hurt. Along with enjoying his fourth movie role in 2007, he could also be seen on the small screen for the first time, in his first starring role, in the made-for-TV movie "Fort Pit," about a Brooklyn police precinct. That same year, he also had his first recurring role in season four of the dramatic series "Gossip Girl," playing perhaps his best-known character, Ben Donovan, a man falsely imprisoned for statutory rape. In 2008, he had two more recurring roles, appearing as a receptionist in three episodes of the short-lived courtroom drama "Canterbury's Law," as well as playing a soldier in six episodes of the popular Lifetime TV show, "Army Wives." He also later played recurring characters in the hospital drama "Mercy," the supernatural-mystery series "Fringe," and the dramedy "Rescue Me." He can also be seen in starring roles in the dramatic films "Two Gates of Sleep" in 2010, and "The Best Man for the Job" and "Northeast" both in 2011.
