Emmy-nominated director David Grossman got his start in television in 1977 as an associate director on the TV special "Neil Diamond: I'm Glad You're Here with Me Tonight." His abilities with live performances led to work directing award shows for the Screen Actors Guild and the Billboard Music Awards. Grossman went on to work on a variety of TV programs in the '90s from the superhero series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," to the teen sitcom "Weird Science," and the sketch comedy series "MADtv."In the 2000s he directed episodes of crime dramas like "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "CSI: Miami." His longest association with a show began in 2005 when Grossman started directing episodes of the popular primetime soap opera "Desperate Housewives." He earned his first producing credit on the series as a supervising producer, and worked his way up to executive producer by 2007. His work on the show yielded his third DGA nomination. He has also directed episodes of the multi-camera sitcoms "Malcolm in the Middle" and "The Bernie Mac Show" as well as the dramas "Necessary Roughness" and "Lost."
