Throughout his entertainment career as an accomplished actor, Ian Shaw graced the silver screen many times. At the beginning of his Hollywood career, Shaw had music featured mostly in comedies like "R.S.V.P." (1984), "Slammer Girls" (1985) with Devon Jenkin and "Sex Appeal" (1986) with Louie Bonanno and Marcia Karr. Though known first for his music, Shaw also acted in "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996) and the Dennis Drake comedy "Preppies" (1984). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in "Century" (1994) with Charles Dance and "Moondance" (1995). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Common Ground" (1989-1990). He also appeared in the TV special "Wuthering Heights" (PBS, 1998-99). Shaw also created music for the drama "Warrior Queen" (1987) with Sybil Danning and the comedy "Wimps" (1987) with Louie Bonanno. More recently, he continued to act in "Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman" (2007), the Morgan Freeman drama "The Contract" (2007) and "Johnny English Reborn" (2011). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Evolution" (PBS, 2001-02). Shaw most recently appeared in "The Whale: Revenge from the Deep" (Animal Planet, 2014-15).
