Ivan Lebedeff
Ivan Lebedeff was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Lebedeff started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Love of Sunya" (1927), "The Sorrows of Satan" (1927) with Ricardo Cortez and "Walking Back" (1928). He also appeared in the Will Rogers comedy "They Had to See Paris" (1929), "The Cuckoos" (1930) and "The Gay Diplomat" (1931). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Victor McLaglen adventure "Laughing at Life" (1933), the comedic adaptation "The Blonde Bombshell" (1933) with Jean Harlow and "Goin' to Town" (1935). He also appeared in "Love on the Run" (1936) with Joan Crawford, "The Golden Arrow" (1936) and the Marlene Dietrich dramatic adaptation "Angel" (1937). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the adventure "Atlantic Flight" (1937) with Dick Merrill, the Charles Boyer dramatic comedy "History Is Made at Night" (1937) and "Mama Steps Out" (1937). He also appeared in "Wise Girl" (1937), the The Ritz Brothers comedy adaptation "Straight, Place, and Show" (1938) and the Linda Darnell drama "Hotel For Women" (1939). Lebedeff last acted in "The Mystery of Mr. Wong" (1939). Lebedeff was married to Vera Engels. Lebedeff passed away in March 1953 at the age of 58.
