You may not recognize Mark Hildreth, but you might be familiar with his voice. Featured in countless cartoons and video games since the late '80s, Hildreth began his career at the ripe age of five, and landed his first major role at 10, playing the danger-prone Beany of "Beany and Cecil," a short-lived revival of the classic animated series. Undeterred at that early age by the fickle nature of showbiz, Hindreth worked throughout the 1990s on a smattering of live-action shows in guest roles and increasingly high-profile cartoon work. He provided additional voices for the John Candy-led "Camp Candy," and the cult anime favorite "Dragon Ball Z," where he memorably portrayed the eccentric Dr. Briefs. In the new millennium, Hindreth's voice continued to land him roles, though the actor made great strides as a physical performer as well. He earned a small part in both the 2002 Wes Craven-produced horror flick "They" and the mega-blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" in 2007. In between, Hindreth kept busy, notably playing the winged hero Angel in the "X-Men: Evolution" cartoon series, and began writing and performing his own original music. In 2009, he achieved some of his most prominent live-action work yet, appearing in two popular TV series, first as historical personage Cardinal Reginald Pole on the Henry VIII-centric cable drama "The Tudors," then as a traitorous physician on the ABC sci-fi series, "V."
