Melissa Prophet was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. Prophet's career in acting began with her roles in various films like "Beyond Reason" (1977) with Telly Savalas, the Ali MacGraw dramatic sports film "Players" (1979) and the Bill Adler adventure "Van Nuys Blvd." (1979). She also appeared in the dramedy "Melvin and Howard" (1980) with Paul Le Mat and the horror film "Looker" (1981) with Albert Finney. Her film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like "Fatal Games" (1982), the sci-fi picture "Time Walker" (1982) with Ben Murphy and "Better Late Than Never" (1983). She also appeared in the drama "Blame It on the Night" (1984) with Nick Mancuso. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the action flick "Invasion U.S.A." (1985) with Chuck Norris, "Action Jackson" (1988) and "Casino" (1995). Most recently, Prophet produced "The Devil's Child" (ABC, 1997-98).
