Norma Bengell
Norma Bengell was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Bengell began her acting career with roles in such films as the comedy "O Homem do Sputnik" (1959) with Oscarito, "Os Cafajestes" (1962) and the dramatic adaptation "The Given Word" (1964) with Gloria Menezes. She also appeared in the Jean-Pierre Aumont action picture "Carnival of Crime" (1964), "Noite vazia" (1965) and "Planet of the Vampires" (1965). She kept working in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, starring in "The Hellbenders" (1966), the Luc Merenda action film "OSS 117 Prend des Vacances" (1970) and "A Casa Assassinada" (1971). She also appeared in "Les Soleils De L'ile De Paques" (1972). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the comedy "Tabu" (1983) with Caetano Veloso, the "Fonte da Saudate" (1986) film Lucelia Santos and the Carla Camurati drama "Eternamente Pagu" (1987). She also appeared in "A Cor do seu Destino" (1988) and "Under One Roof" (1994). Bengell most recently acted in "Anabazys" (2009).
