Peter Appel was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Appel kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Debra Winger dramatic adaptation "Everybody Wins" (1990), the Tom Cruise action film "Days of Thunder" (1990) and the dramatic adaptation "Presumed Innocent" (1990) with Harrison Ford. He also appeared in the Harrison Ford drama "Regarding Henry" (1991), the Michael Douglas blockbuster action picture "Basic Instinct" (1992) and the Woody Allen comedy "Shadows and Fog" (1992). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Extreme Measures" (1996), the crime drama "Sleepers" (1996) with Kevin Bacon and the Mike O'Malley comedy "Above Freezing" (1998). He also appeared in "Side Streets" (1998) with Valeria Golino. In his more recent career, he continued to act in the musical drama "The Tic Code" (2000) with Gregory Hines, "Get Well Soon" (2002) and the Tobey Maguire hit action movie "Spider-Man" (2002). He also appeared in the Aaron Stanford comedic drama "Tadpole" (2002) and "Roger Dodger" (2002). Appel most recently acted in the crime feature "Laugh Killer Laugh" (2015) with William Forsythe.
