Richard Glover was a British character actor who became well-known to American audiences in 2015 after co-starring in the HBO miniseries "The Casual Vacancy" (BBC/HBO, 2015). Glover took a rather unlikely path to acting stardom. He spent the majority of his 20s working as an architect, but eventually found the work to be dull and unfulfilling. Wanting nothing more than to spice things up a bit, Glover moved to London and started taking improvisational comedy classes. He found that he enjoyed performing in front of a live audience, and before long Glover helped found the immensely popular sketch comedy group called The Pros from Dover. The success of the group eventually led to small acting parts on various British TV shows. Glover's first breakout role came in 2011 when he landed a recurring part on the British comedy "Dick and Dom's Funny Business" (BBC, 2011- ). More roles followed, including a role as The Seward in the fantasy musical, "Into the Woods" (2014). Then in 2015 Glover nabbed a part as Simon Price in the BBC's adaptation of the J.K. Rowling adult novel, "The Casual Vacancy." In addition to being shown on the BBC in England, the miniseries made its American debut on HBO in late April of 2015.
