TV producer Shane Brennan seems to have taken a thing or two that he learned while working as a producer on the 2003-04 season of "CSI: Miami" and applied it to his similarly themed hit "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service." The demographic of his later shows skews much older, but in an age when TV networks often focus too much on the coveted 18-34 age range, Brennan has been handsomely rewarded. Thanks to a loyal older audience, both "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" and its 2009 spinoff, "NCIS: Los Angeles," have been ratings smashes, helping CBS maintain a rank as America's most watched network. Before arriving as a writer-producer for "CSI: Miami," Brennan wrote a number of episodes for the 1998-2004 crime drama "Stingers." His extensive writing credits encompass programs such as "The Flying Doctors," "All Together Now," and "State Coroner." The Down Under native began his career by writing for local show "Stingers" and winning a 1987 Australian Film Institute award for his miniseries script "In Between."
