a messy, dispiriting portrait of two rebels without a cause who go off the rails as they come of age, leaving only suffering and death in their wake. Go to Full Review

John C @JayDizzle209 Mar 2 Maxwell and Charlie are HOT in this movie. That's all that this film needs. Classic 80s movie and it rocks with no plot or story at all. See more Magnum S Feb 28 Good cast but the movie could have had all A listers and still would have sucked because of a storyline. Max went from Grease 2 to this role and now I know why his career never really went very far. Not because he wasn't a good actor because he most certainly is but because of the roles he was taking after Grease 2. Charlie Sheen was able to weather the storm because of his family ties in the entertainment industry something Max didn't have unfortunately. See more Brad P 02/26/2023 Harsh, unflinching, and evocative "The Boys Next Door" is a cautionary tale of where unchecked mental issues and aggression can lead. Caulfield and Sheen lead a commendable cast and Spheeris' direction dives deep into every ugly facet of the leads' personalities. See more 06/24/2021 Very campy. Also love seeing 1986 Hollywood, has all the places I knew See more 01/08/2020 Totally blindsided by this one. Not at all what I was expecting. Spheeris follows up Suburbia with another tale of alienated youth, that take a tour down a much darker path, as these two boys go an escalating crime spree. It's a commentary on the hatred that is just bubbling under the surface of repression. It's dark, nihilistic and I loved it. See more 10/03/2018 This is a creepy movie starring a young Charlie Sheen. I love the atmosphere and vibe of this film- reminds me of another rather underrated film by the name of Miracle Mile. This is dark movie full of violence and the fact that the leads are such assholes doesn't help. It takes courage to even make a film such as this. You may not like it but it is definitely worth a watch. See more Read all reviews
