Audience Member One of Andre De Toth's weaker Hollywood studio efforts. This one is a thriller but plays out like a melodrama for the first hour as it never really gets going. Only towards the end does some tension and action appear. The low-grade film and sound recording does not help either. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Weak in spots concerning plot, Dark Waters succeeds in delivering atmospheric chills and a thrilling finale set in the swamp, a concept later re-used in Cape Fear.
