Adi G Unlike most romances this one is actually comedic - such witty humor! One of my favorite movies. Ignore the reviews, it was hilarious and actually had quite a nice message about how relationships work. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted something light-hearted to watch and found this delightful gem. It's not going to satisfy those who like a lot of depth or drama, but as an entertaining easy to watch rom com it's perfect. When I read the reviews before watching it I was expecting something like Three to Tango, but this is so much better. There is a gay storyline, but it's not at all forced and just feels natural and lovely. Brittany Murphy is charming in every scene, Matthew Rhys is perfectly cast as the gay best friend who is always looking for love, Santiago Cabrera is suitably sexy as the Argentinian love interest, and Catherine Tate is very funny as an over-emotional, relationship crazy friend with mummy issues. Having said it's light hearted and not very deep, there are some very nice moments in here. Tate's character's mother initially comes across as shallow and silly, but is then happy to donate thousands to charity. And the resolution of the gay love story is beautifully written and performed, with the observation that love doesn't usually happen like a bolt of lightning - you have to choose to love. To sum up, I loved this film, have now watched it three times in the last two weeks and have ordered the DVD (from Germany as it's not available in the UK!). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review kevin c Brittany Murphy stars as an American working in the fashion industry in London, who is trying to find the perfect man for her gay best friend and roommate, while ignoring the man who is clearly falling for her. Typical relationship comedy but elevated due to the easy charm of Murphy. Watching movies like this reminds me of how great Brittany Murphy was. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A comedy: Cringes 26 : 1 Laughs On the plus side, it's only 1h26min Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this. It maybe partly because having Britney Murphy in the film & I'm good with that. Such a nice, simple rom-com, nothing too crazy & as I've already stated it's Britney. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member If you like Brittany Murphy this movie is for you. If not then you would probably be a girl to like this movie. Its the type of movie to watch to just watch to have something to do. I wouldn't recommend it to intensively watch. The story is clever and Brittany looks so cute through out the movie. The type of life they live is a bit of escapism for me. Its a cute movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
