Giles Hardie Sydney Morning Herald Triangle is lots of violent fun for those who like... violent fun. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 29, 2010 Full Review Derek Elley Variety The film only makes some kind of sense on its own fantastic level. Nov 10, 2009 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard The whole film is smart cinema. I wouldn't be surprised if Smith didn't land up with a contract in Hollywood. Rated: 3/5 Oct 20, 2009 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews An erratic yet ultimately rewarding time-travel tale... Rated: 3/4 Apr 6, 2016 Full Review Jason Di Rosso MovieTime, ABC Radio National The film would have been better served by a stronger sense of the metaphor it was trying to construct, but as it is, the unravelling of the puzzle is underwhelming. Apr 30, 2010 Full Review Alicia Malone FILMINK (Australia) A tense and interesting psychological thriller. Apr 30, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Ralph R Triangle is a fascinating and complex psychological thriller that leaves you with more questions than answers, even on a rewatch. The first act draws you in with its eerie setup at the docks, though the lack of introduction to the characters, particularly Jess, makes it harder to emotionally connect. The film transitions quickly into the action, sacrificing character depth for the sake of pacing. The themes are intriguing, and the visual effects hold up surprisingly well, especially for what seems to be a low-budget film. The cinematography avoids overused horror tropes like shaky cams, favoring subtle perspective shifts that enhance the story’s tension. The script, while serviceable, leans heavily on the intricate storyline to provide depth. The second act dives into the time-loop concept, but with limited character exploration, the repeated deaths lack emotional impact. The paradox at the heart of the story is compelling but leaves gaps that can feel like plot holes. The film hints at answers but never fully resolves them. Overall, Triangle is an engaging and thought-provoking watch. Its strengths lie in its concept and execution, though its lack of character development and unanswered questions might leave some viewers frustrated. A movie worth revisiting for its layered narrative, even if it doesn’t provide all the answers. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Kyle C This is a movie that gets better the longer you think about it. The first act feels sloppy initially, but in hindsight, it’s actually quite clever and tight. There are a lot of subtle details that hint at an overarching explanation of everything, but it’s abstract enough to keep you thinking and make you feel pretty smart for figuring it out. Apart from some wonky effects (presumably due to budgetary constraints) and a little bit of awkward dialogue, Triangle is a killer thriller with a lot more to say than it initially seems. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/23/24 Full Review Keyana M This movie is so delectable. SPOILER ALERT: It gets a little frustrating because the main character, Jess, makes absolutely no effort to break the time loop and does everything exactly the same as the Jess that came before her, KNOWING THAT SHE LITERALLY GOT THROWN OFF THE BOAT. Other than that the movie is really good and Liam Hemsworth is hot af with that buzz cut 10/10 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Michael C Melissa George's character is caught in a bizarre story filled with time paradoxes and impossible situations, but it is tight with its paradoxes and time-bending. Unlike most movies like it, the time fluctuations and strange events are all carefully thought out and make sense in the plot. It doesn't rely on weak logical scripting with the excuse of "It's a weird time thing." Everything has a rational point of reference, though a crazy one. It slowly reveals that a plot twist happened because another event in the story is linked to it. The ending ties things together and leaves the audience to judge what and why all the events happened. I thought it was a great film. I recommended it to three friends with different tastes in movies, and they all said they liked it and thought it was a good movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/24 Full Review Jerod S Triangle. As in Bermuda. But also that loop back plot that drives me bonkers. She's got to face herself in what happens when you're stuck on a ship in the triangle. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Audience Member A very intelligent psychological thriller full of numerous twists and turns that keep the viewer guessing from one scenario to the next after 15 years the title literaly is itself moving from beginning to middle to end and then back again all the pieces of the mystery puzzle come together Melissa George puts on an extremely good performance not only is her survival tested but her psychosis is pushed again and again makes you wonder whether it's all built in her mind or a supernatural force at work this is more of what 'Ghost Ship' should have been; more mystery, better suspense and actual feeling for the main lead changing the pattern certainly makes the difference in the chain of events this movie blew my mind and it's good that they made something that had tension Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
