Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is amazing this shit is inspirational af watch it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Es una película muy simple que contiene un buen mensaje, no es mala, pero pudo haber quedado mucho mejor. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't like this movie at all. Ended as if it was rushed, and didn't have a very good plot. Was very stereotypical and not engaging at all. I would not recommend. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was one of the best sports movie I have ever seen. The dialogue was very easy to follow, yes there were some long parts but it was about the recruiter trying to recruit the player. There wasn't overly a lot of talking because the views pretty much explained most of what was going on. The dad really wanted his son to play on the travelling basketball team but his mom didn't want him to because she was worried about his grades, but after some insurance, his mom let him go. The other great dialogue part is when the coach goes up to the player at the basketball court at night and talks to him about playing for him even though it's illegal. The camera work was very well done, some of the more cooler shots I've seen in sports movies, like the POV shot where he is dribbling up the court and you can see it from his eyes. Another cool shot is when he shoots a buzzer beater and it goes in slow motion and it switches between the shooter, the coach, and the fans 2 or 3 times until it goes in. The editing was also very well done. There were a lot of cutaways because the basketball games were fast but it worked well because it made since for the movie purposes. The ending was very surprising and sad but I won't spoil it. The movie is definitely worth the watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mikel Zorrilla Espinof It is somewhat superficial in approaching the story. [Full Review in Spanish] Jul 23, 2019 Full Review Dan Mecca The Film Stage We've gotten plenty of sports films over the years, but precious few that wade into the deep, dark machinery that fuel the underdog stories and inspirational tales we love to love. Rated: B Jun 25, 2018 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation An engaging tale from the corrupt underbelly of Big Time Hoops at the high school level, one that loses its cynical edge and goes all squishy in the third act Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 30, 2018 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Provocative sports movie on amateur athletics; cursing. Rated: 4/5 Apr 17, 2018 Full Review Eddie Strait The Daily Dot Condensing the story takes the air out of the ball and renders the movie flat. What's left feels like a jumble of story threads that don't cohere. Rated: 2/5 Apr 13, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
