Actor Corey Parker Robinson is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed crime drama "The Wire" and its prequel mini-series, also from creator David Simon, "The Corner." Parker Robinson's most notable television appearance started on the hospital drama "ER," playing a talented but troubled youth from a dangerous part of town who is mentored by Dr. John Carter, played by Noah Wyle, in two episodes. This role was a foreshadowing of his part in "The Corner" as R.C., a drug dealer in the West Baltimore inner city in a poverty-stricken, drug-addicted struggle to survive. Parker Robinson, along with a few other cast members of "The Corner," went on to play very different types of roles in "The Wire." This time, Parker Robinson was cast as Leander Sydnor, an undercover Baltimore police officer who is instrumental in the Avon Barksdale drug detail--the central storyline of the first few seasons--as well as in the case against a corrupt Maryland senator, which is the part of the focus of the show's last two seasons. Another notable television coup for Parker Robinson was being the first actor to portray Remy Boudreaux, a conflicted musician struggling in his relationship with his father, on the soap opera "The Guiding Light."
