Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is All in all, a very watchable psychological thriller that doesn’t really have anything to do with the town of Amityville or its haunted house. Just remember, never accept furniture from hobos. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 19, 2023 Full Review Joe Lipsett Bloody Disgusting Amityville: A New Generation is a step down from its predecessor, but Pfister’s cinematography livens up several set pieces and the characters are fun. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 1, 2023 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Astonishingly close to not completely terrible. Rated: 2/5 Aug 27, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

James B As the sequels go one it has less to do with the house and more with the haunted objects from the house. Amityville 7 is more psychological than horror but it's not executed well. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/03/24 Full Review Audience Member In no way does this feel like an Amityville Horror movie, aside from the lose "connection" of a haunted mirror. But I gotta say, of the string of straight-to-video dreck, this series turned into, this has got to be my favorite. It's just such a time capsule of the 90s, and features a treasure trove of genre favorite actors. But by the time the demons and gargoyles start showing up, I was having fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A homeless man gifts a mirror that was in the original Amityville house to a photographer and a series of bad things happen to the inhabitants of the loft apartments. This marks the third time the series has used a storyline of a possessed household item from the original Amityville house to cause havoc elsewhere. A lamp, a clock, and now a mirror. Evidently a tired series with little new to offer although I would still be intrigued to see a household appliance like a blender or toaster from the original house used in a new film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than average entry in the never ending Amityville series. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm really surprised any studio would allow this to be made. Why name it Amityville? It's just politically incorrect to claim that this has anything to do with what happened at the Long Island house. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member The biggest problem with this series is that it tries to be creative, but it changes its plot devices and the filmmakers really can't seem to craft a compelling, terrifying haunted house movie and rely more on recycled ideas from previous works to keep this series going while it's clear that it has been on life support for quite some time. This film offers nothing new to this tired out series, and viewers will notice the sheer lack of effective ideas that really don't offer anything to the haunted house formula. This film is very bad, and is pointless in terms of storytelling because the scriptwriters simple plot that doesn't take off. This is a poor attempt at creating an effective horror film, one that is truly entertaining and fun from start to finish. What can you expect from a sixth film? Nothing much that's for sure. This is yet another run of the mill awful sequel that fails to deliver the chills from a good old fashioned haunted house film. Relying on previous ideas, the filmmakers craft a film that is predictable and tiresome. The film was doomed to fail right off the start. With a poor cast, bad ideas and sloppy storytelling, this is yet another misfire in this pointless series of bad sequels. Awful in terms of quality and directing, this entry really doesn't deliver anything worth seeing or mentioning for that matter. Avoid this one like every other in the series, because this one is predictable like all the previous entries that have plagued this franchise.
