Audience Member I saw this film at Cinequest film festival. I w's amazing, I was able to meet the director and the actress who starred. I still remember even though it's been so many years since I saw it. I actually saw it two times at the festival, the second time with my daughter Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A WOMAN'S STRENGTH IS HER LOVE ( IF HE LOVES HER)...VICE VERSE Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Nandita Das is definitely a "go-to" actress for difficult and controversial roles, and I greatly admire her for this. This movie is not a "commercial" type of movie...I suppose it is described as a "social" movie in that it addresses social issues, in this case rape, child marriages, and governmental corruption. These are not exactly topics for a typical Friday night date movie! I would recommend these two Nandita Das films (5 stars, in my opinion): 1947 Earth (Hindi) and Before the Rains (English). These are still serious movies, though. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely phenomenal! As usual, Nandita contines to impress with such compelling perfomances, deep social content in her movies, and humble Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member great. there was a show too on this. on sony. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member A very accurate story of the fight for women's rights in Hindu caste systems in Rajisthan, India. Nandita Das plays a powerful role with diversity - vulnerabiliity and power all at the same time. Brilliant. Sadly banned in India :( Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
