Audience Member I don’t see it was rated so low, it’s a tearjerker. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/03/21 Full Review Audience Member This movie is shameless! Some struggling kid comes to town and saves the town AND himself through what? .......The art of.......DANCE!!!! It shamelessly uses the death of American servicemen and women to get tears from the audience. It's a very bad storyline! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review roger g The slow start with a story of any kind, then it got worse. It is not worth your time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Teenage angst alongside dance off competing has certainly been done before, and this film pretty much goes by the numbers rather than trying to offer something new to elevate it above what's gone before. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review farah r It's not good but it's not bad either. Bravertown combines drama and dance in a not so cliche flick. Its definitely got more momentum than all that Step Up nonsense and the actors did fairly well so I actually had a good time watching this when I was bored. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Average movie. The "platoon" part with the kid and him not realizing it's a bad idea was pretty weak. It has potential mixed in with cheesy parts. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stephen Holden New York Times Excruciating ... an unwieldy hybrid of high school dance competition movie and shameless flag-waver. May 7, 2015 Full Review Sheri Linden Los Angeles Times First-time director Daniel Duran, working from a screenplay by Oscar Torres that abounds in the maudlin and risible, isn't able to lift the ham-handed material to a place where it might ring true. May 7, 2015 Full Review Nell Minow Movie Mom If only salutary intentions and one good performance could save a film so fundamentally wrongly conceived. Rated: C- May 7, 2015 Full Review Mae Abdulbaki Punch Drunk Critics It has heartwarming moments and interesting back-and-forth between characters, while keeping its story simple, if a little on the sappy side in the end. Not a bad start to Duran's directing career. Rated: 3/5 Aug 14, 2018 Full Review Christine N. Ziemba Paste Magazine The film turns so overtly melodramatic during its third act that it volleys between a Nicholas Sparks film and Tropic Thunder. Rated: 4.5/10 May 13, 2015 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue While it hints at something deeper, this slick coming-of-age drama about redemption and reconciliation instead chooses a more formulaic path to catharsis.
