A desert setting just enhances a film's creepiness. This film will keep you guessing, though it is clear from the outset that there's something more behind the motive of every individual in the film. The carnal motives of greed, sex, and bloodlust are all encompassing, and lead to the demise of everyone. The legend says that the desert is cursed, however, it's not the desert that does the killing. The true murderers are the evil motives of human beings.

Started out good enough. Set up a creepy atmosphere but after 30 min. just falls apart. The annoying radio static never is realy explained or used in the story and yet it is one of the main parts of the script. For an Indie movie the acting isn't horrible but the script really goes nowhere and dooms the outcome of the movie. It could have been really good but instead it just seemed so ameturish.

A great indie surprise that is both intense and disturbing. The movie reminds me a bit of WOLF CREEK, and is very well-shot and acted. ZZYZX will not be the independent sensation of the year--but it really has a lot going for it, and I'm eager to see what else the director can do.
