Kenny Johnson
As the corrupt cop with the soft heart, Kenneth "Kenny" Johnson brought the only real sense of humanity and morality to the Strike Team with his character of Det. Curtis "Lemonhead" Lemansky on FX's Emmy-winning police drama, "The Shield" (2002-08). The 6'1," blond-haired actor effortlessly conveyed a sense of uneasy intensity - while at the same time, an innate vulnerability - that belied his classic "surfer boy" good looks and strapping physique. Such was his appeal to fans of the show, that when his character was killed off in a shocking and gut-wrenching manner, Johnson learned overnight how much of an impact his initially small role had made with fans - many of whom were so outraged at the character's horrifying end, they let the network and all involved know their displeasure. A year later, Johnson parlayed that visibility into another cop role opposite Oscar-winner Holly Hunter on the highly successful TNT series, "Saving Grace" (2007-10), proving that his charm and talent could survive and thrive beyond even the most popular of roles.
