Cone-headed extraterrestrials Beldar (Dan Aykroyd) and Prymaat (Jane Curtin) find themselves in New Jersey after a recon mission for their home planet of Remulak goes awry. Stranded, they are forced to live as typical suburban humans. Beldar gets a job, and daughter Connie (Michelle Burke) grows up to be a typical, if oddly shaped, teenager. A fun comedy to pass the time, it is an underrated masterpiece, quite unique and simple. I bought it for my collection on GoogleTV and I don't want it to disappear. Furthermore, the battle with Garthok is a conceptual definition for the science fiction cinema of that time, which makes me value it for its aesthetic resemblance to the monsters of Star Wars.

Coneheads is a bad movie. I haven't watched the SNL skit, but if I had I would probably give this a lower score. Coneheads is supposed to be a comedy, but it doesn't have a trace of humor. I thought Chris Farley is really good as Ronnie and that is the only character I really liked. This movie is kind of like My Favorite Martian, it's an alien movie and it's boring.What a bad movie. I give this a 47%.

It's shocking how people can't see a fun, zany movie for what it is. Films don't have to be compellingly moving to be great. This is a cinematic classic with lots of fun moments that represents a time when movies could simply be goofy.

The critics are paid numbskulls. No critics "names" will be remembered 50 years from now. The Coneheads movie was sophisticated, above most humor movies in the 90's. I am so happy this movie will live on way long after the "boomer" generation is.... .
