I loved it so much, I made an account just to post the review. What the filmmakers got right, was the deep bond of a father and a daughter, and how early experiences can shape us. Katie goes thru quite an emotional journey, that is incredibly touching, and worth seeing. Excellent performances by the three main actors.

I'm one that can be completely satisfied with an emotional human story movie. A story of life. Doesn't have to be flashy, big moments, gigantic plot twists, etc. This is one of those movies that delivers. A story of living with tragedy and how it shapes your life and trying to live through it. I loved the the juxtaposition jumping between the younger years and the impact on the adult life. Beautiful movie. Loved it. As a father of a daughter about to head off to college I could totally immerse myself emotionally into all the characters.

Negative reviewers have no soul. That's the only explanation. As a father to two little potato chips this was very moving. There is mature content so this isn't suitable for small children but it is well written with great acting. It captures the good, bad, and ugly of life.
