One of the crown jewels in the Famous John Hughes Coming of Age Canon; all about everyone's favorite, loveable little con artist, Ferris Beuller; a little shyster who could simply charm the pants right off of everybody... He's so charismatic... And who simply wants to take a day off from school to enjoy life; to stop and smell the roses; and to stop and enjoy his big beautiful hometown of Chicago... JUST FOR A DAY...And so he's made the big epic/heroic decision TO PLAY HOOKEY for one day...That's the plot here...And the whole thing devolves into a big epic battle between Ferris and his School Principal and local Truant Officer Ed Rooney... A big epic cat and mouse game...And the whole thing is great fun; this classic caper comedy where the good guy for once get's away with it! And the lines here are so famous and beloved that they've become cultural landmarks...Catchphrases like "anyone? Anyone? Bueller?". So HIGHLY RECOMMENDED is this great Chicago classic about the importance of playing HOOKEY!... About the importance of stopping and enjoying life!..before it's too late. Thumbs way up!! 👍
