Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member ...I'd guess maybe a 20% approval rating might be a tad high for this one....Story line is more like a poorly written comic book than an actual movie.... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Game of Aces (2016) A unique World War I Film set in Egypt. It is interesting seeing the resourcefulness of both sides on using technology. It was interesting seeing a British nurse and translator in Disguise and can speak German as a translator. The truth is she was a German spy and an assassin. It was interesting seeing a German and an American use each other’s technology and have problems with each and convert a truck and an airplane into different vehicles. I had never seen an airplane get converted into a sand mobile. It was interesting the different spy technics like sending a message in a cigar or how to find direction without a compass. I liked that this film did talk about how to find direction. I did think this was interesting because there is not that big of a cast of characters in this film since it is a search and rescue story. What is also interesting plot twist about this film is that this German pilot once he crashes does not recall that he was defecting or had a secret message. I wish this film did not get so gruesome at the begging with the leg or used so many swear words. This film has a lot of action and plot twist for a story with limited characters and action that occurs during the film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle [Set up] for a creative chase scenario, although the film has too many weak elements that impede its smooth progression. Rated: 1.5/5 Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Lay's subbing of the Dumont Dunes near Death Valley National Park for a vast and dazzling Middle Eastern desert is something to behold, and Klein proves himself a nimble alternate for action-oriented filmmakers who can't afford Bradley Cooper. Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Morgan Rojas Cinemacy While a smart choice on the directorial front, as an audience member, having a limited number of characters stranded in the blazing desert, that can't decide whether or not to make a joke or tell a thrilling story, makes it a tough, repetitive watch.
