Set at Christmas time, "Godmothered" is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Jillian Bell), who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of "happily ever after," but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.

Of all the "fairies in the real world" movies I've watched, this was one of the funniest. I liked the jokes and puns. I also liked that the script didn't do it like most films on this topic (which spend most of the time dealing with the cliché "magic doesn't exist") and went straight to the funny situations. I only found the ending of the film disappointing, as there is no denouement. But otherwise it was a good pastime.

Godmothered was an amazing movie. I watched it kind of a long time ago, so I kind of forget it. Godmothered was a movie that ran along the same lines as Elf and Enchanted. Godmothered was a very funny movie ( like Elf and Enchanted ), and guess what? I LOVE comedy!! Godmothered was a very interesting Christmas movie. What a good movie.

The movie can seem silly, but if you silence your inner critic—and allow the child in you to take over—there's quite some wholesome family entertainment here. There are chuckles to be had, weird scenarios, not too many mushy moments, and an ending that might just stay with you. And oh, there's Isla Fischer too.

Eu não conheço a minha, mas agradeço todos os dias pela sua existência e por fazer de mim uma super heroína sortuda e abençoada... Tenho certeza que a minha é linda e tem um sorriso maravilhoso... E o filme é sobre isso, acreditar nos sonhos, no poder de realização deles, na superação, no amor verdadeiro e de que tudo vai dar sempre certo no final...
