After Marshal Matt Dillon (James Arness) receives a letter from an old acquaintance, a woman called "Mike" Yardner (Michael Learned), asking him to visit immediately, Dillon rides to the ranch. He finds it has been raided by Apaches, and Mike's daughter, Beth, has been kidnapped by a rogue Apache named Wolf. The bigger surprise for Dillon is learning that Beth is also his daughter, conceived while he had amnesia. Armed with the new knowledge of a daughter, Dillon sets out to rescue her.

William R. P 03/20/2022 Ms. Kitty died the previous year. See more 06/28/2020 When Gunsmoke came to an end we had seen the best of Matt Dillon. This was a decent film if you were a fan of Matt Dillon and Gunsmoke. If you didnt see the series you might see it as OK but not worth a second watch. Sorry, but its mainly for the fans. See more 03/16/2013 This is one of my all time favorites...the only unbelievable part is no woman would run from Joe Lara...he's beautiful! I watched the original episode when Matt gets amnesia when I was young so it was really neat to see a "20 years later" movie.
