Jean-Luc Godard Cahiers du Cinéma India is a film of absolute logic, more Socratic than Socrates. Each image is beautiful, not because it is beautiful in itself, like a shot from Que Viva Mexico!, but because it has the splendour of the true, and Rossellini starts from truth. Lanfranco C Traveling in the soul of India. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Audience Member recently beautifully restored, the film is a series of vignettes focusing on animals: elephant, tiger, monkey. that monkey broke my heart </3 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member every scene was carefully chosen and that makes this film universal. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Rare and difficult to find this film since it was lost for a long time and recently found. It's currently in the process of being restored, but I got to see the original Cannes Film Fest reel. No one does it like Rossellini and I do mean that in a sexy way. Intimately beautiful and slow Rossellini-style. That's the kind of lovin' I like. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
