The anvils of obviousness rain down so hard and fast in New Zealand-born/Australian-based director Andrew Dominik's meditation on low-rent crime and American decline, that it might as well be a Coyote-Road Runner cartoon Go to Full Review

Like its source material, the movie is stylish, profane, intelligent, and eminently diverting. But as much as it is a delight that Dominik has disinterred Higgins's work, it is a mild disappointment that the result is not more substantial. Go to Full Review

A disappointing, derivative noir that gets its spark from Pitt and Gandolfini's performances. Slight and pulpy, but it's aiming for arty and trenchant. Go to Full Review

Although it’s bound to be divisive for its unconventional structure, ruthless tone, and the cynical nature of its message, Killing Them Softly is a rare, exceedingly enjoyable, bleakly comic noir story. Go to Full Review

Even with the “LeFty pOLiTIcS” lambasting the Obama Administration’s failure to ignite the supposed economic overhaul they kept mentioning, those who are whining make it VERY clear that even if you are: a) pointing out that economic recession is BAD b) criticizing a Democratic president they suddenly learn VERY quickly that “lefty” and “liberal” or “Democrat” are not even close to the same thing… In fact, one is - by definition - a believer in private enterprise. The other is - by definition - not. See more Oaklee D Aug 16 This story driven film is fantastic, it pulled me in and refused to let go. The cast were amazing and really made the film what it is.
