Audience Member The pacing is a bit of a mess with a rushed montage beginning and abrupt ending. Holliday, Richard and James played their roles well with what they were given. However, I wish the film had made me more emotionally invested in its characters. There was potential, but the film's brevity robbed it of becoming something far better. Lady Chatterly's Lover removes the cringe factor of the novel and, using fantastic actors such as Richard Madden and Holliday Grainger, manages to create a more compelling story. The characterisation and plot development was somewhat rushed due to the run-time but it's an overall enjoyable watch for anyone who enjoys period dramas.
