gibran carrillo Oct 19 When this movie first came out in theaters I did not watch it in theaters unfortunately. I regretted not going to see it in the big screen as a kid. Now as an adult, finally getting the opportunity was GREAT. This movie really is GREAT and it gave me so much nostalgia. I loved it then and love it now. Class or possibly even a masterpiece!!! See more Ann 10/16/2022 It was honestly a really good movie overall it just felt like we was back being little watching this movie See more Christian M Dec 12 'Monster House' is one of the most special memories from my childhood, even though it isn't truly a kids' film. It blends emotion and nostalgia; I've seen it so many times that I could recall the story almost entirely. As an adult, its darker tone, subtle humor, and quiet social commentary stand out even more beneath its childlike appearance. The characters connect instantly-exaggerated in just the right way and capable of carrying an unsettling yet charming story. The plot is tightly crafted, leaving no loose ends, and builds emotional tension without forcing it. The soundtrack is unforgettable and defines much of the film's atmosphere. Nostalgia plays a part in how I feel about it, but even if I watched it for the first time today, I'm sure I'd still consider it an animated masterpiece. See more Taylor G Nov 11 From the first eerie note of the soundtrack, I knew I wasn’t just watching a movie — I was witnessing art in motion. 🎬💫 Every frame of Monster House is a love letter to childhood fear, friendship, and the kind of storytelling that stays in your bones long after the credits roll. 💀💖 The animation? 👁️ Visually stunning. Every creak of the house feels alive — like it’s breathing, watching, plotting. That’s not a building; that’s a character. 🏠🔥 The story? A perfect blend of spooky and heartfelt — a Halloween fairy tale that manages to be both terrifying 👻 and so sweet 🥹. The trio of kids? Absolute icons. They carry this movie like seasoned adventurers on a quest through suburban nightmares. 🕵️‍♂️🧒🎒 And that HOUSE?! It’s not just haunted — it’s a tragic, misunderstood soul, a gothic symbol of grief and love twisted together. 🖤😭 By the end, I wasn’t scared anymore — I was moved. The movie didn’t just raise the bar for animated horror; it built the whole house and ate the competition. 🏗️💥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Final Verdict: Monster House isn’t a kids’ movie. It’s a cinematic revelation — a sacred text of spooky perfection. 🙌🏽🔥 See more Tyler G Nov 2 The kids act like actual kids and have good voice acting chemistry. Unusual animation style. An okay story. See more Read all reviews
