Jack S This creaky old mystery with little suspense is further undermined with multiple plot holes. For example, a letter that's the key to the murderer conveniently appears and disappears as needed (I still don't know how it ended up in the vacuum cleaner!). An agreeable sense of humor lightens the proceedings a bit, but nothing (except perhaps the pretty maid in high heels!) is especially interesting or diverting in this otherwise ordinary film.
