nefasto r This "Titanesque" drama / love story is not what I would call: unforgettable. A bit slow and with some editing I didn't really get, for most of the time feels like a TV movie (or maybe that is just Damian Lewis face). It does get better but a bit too late. Overall not a bad film, and with a gorgeous OST. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member a tale of mail order brides' voyage from their desperate family situations to their newfound homes in the US. some were more fortunate than others. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It is a perfect movie!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked it. A bit slow in certain occasions, but it is worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Also very happy that I picked this one for EUFF. To be honest I thought this is gonna be like Charles Mee's Big Love, but nope, I was totally wrong. I love the story. I love how they portrayed the brides. I love the beautiful places they showed. I think Victoria Haralabidou is beautiful. What I didn't like is how the movie cuts from one scene to another too abruptly. Not sure if it's just bad editing. At one point my friend thought they censored one of the scenes, but I don't think they did. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Heartbreaking. I had never watched a Greek film previously and the bit of history that this film chose to tell was an eye-opener. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Boyd van Hoeij european-films.net Has an impeccable technical package and unsullied performances, but its plot proceeds at the sluggish speed of the voyage across the Atlantic it so painstakingly portrays.
