Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times [The movie] is at the very least a superior action film, in which the action sequences are plausible and grounded in reality. It is also a parable in support of anti-colonialism. What it isn't, at the end of the day, is a film about the larger picture. Audience Member Horrible movie. Has the look of a made for TV movie. The movie is just one action movie cliche after another. On the run intelligence agent makes it to a small town and helps people. The town is run by a rich, bully criminal. The towns corrupt police are in league with said criminal. Criminal kills loved one of the people our hero is trying to help. Just one cliche after another, and done poorly. The fight sequences are amateurishly choreographed and filmed. The action, in general, is no better than you would see in an episode of Law & Order. The acting and script are atrocious. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review jonathan m Takeaway not having a kid in this movie pretty much is a rip-off of Geena Davis The Long Kiss Goodnight. If you're a fan of Cynthia you will probably like this movie quite a lot it's ok. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Queen Of American Martial Arts, Cynthia Rothrock Stars In This Decent & Enjoyable Martial Arts Action Thriller. When Secret Agent Julie Cosgrave (Rothrock) Lost Her Fiancé In A Deadly Military Assignment, She Fled Her Job With The U.S. Government & Vowed To Start Over. When A New Acquaintance Of Hers Is Murdered, She Decides To Stay & Help The Victim's Brother To Take Down The Local Mob, While Still On The Run From The Government. Rothrock Is On Top Form As Always As She Is Given A Few Decent Fight Scenes. This Also Seems To Be A Better Written, Scripted & Acted Film Than What She Usually Appears In Without Big Chinese Martial Arts Stars. With Some Good Action Sequences & A Nice Slow-Burn Technique This Is A Great B-Movie Action Flick Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The queen of American martial arts Cynthia Rothrock makes a great high-kicking in this high-octane action-thriller movie.
