Mr A A heartwarming and heart breaking movie at the same time. I cried while watching the climax of this movie as it was too emotional for me to bear. Lalettan's performance as Unnikrishnan was emotionally outstanding. It's very heart breaking that he had to sacrifice the love of his love for his baby sister. I can see the perspectives from both Unnikrishnan and Meenakshi. I For Unnikrishnan, it's difficult taking the responsibility of a father/borther at the same time as he gave up his love life for Meenakshi and felt unappreciated and unwanted after she transforms into a modern day girl but Unni has to understand that the younger generation is different in several ways. It's like that between parents and children as we children are a different generation from our parents but they have to understand that we're a different generation and vice versa. For Meenakshi, I understand the desire to live a life of freedom without other excessively controlling you as I myself feel that way but she has to understand that Unni is doing his best because he loves her very much. However, I feel that Unni was too harsh towards at times. The most heartbreaking scene of this movie is where Unni becomes mentally ill and doesn't recognize Meenakshi when she comes home from the hospital due to the trauma of Meenakshi's accident. The entire climax is heartbreaking with only Unni and Meenakshi in the final scene where she tearfully hugs him. I was crying throughout most of this movie, especially the climax. However, Laletten truly deserves the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in this movie. This movie is a true work of art and it will be for years and generations to come.
