As expected, Russell Crowe came to the table with a calculated demeanor, only for those strategic bold moves to be shorthanded in an easy play with an extent that doesn’t win decent favors besides the likable players. (B-)

Ugh, kinda bluffed, not really about poker at all. Too many subplots that only succeed at lessening the already elusive main plot. Villain is laughable, unforgivably stupid; is told to just take the $200 million painting and go, his reply: “YOU DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!”

Russell Crowe em dose tripla, roteio, direção e atuação, executando todas com maestria, excelente trama, se não original, mas com mesclas e apropriação de elementos suficientes para entrega uma ótima dose de suspense, ação, drama e leves pitadas cômicas, considerando o roteiro, teria um potencial até maior (com a ampliação do adolescência e enriquecimento, mas que pouco acrescentariam a trama). Doença maldita C. sendo o de Pâncreas mais agressivo, mortal e doloroso, e um amigo com suspeita (off)
