Audience Member The Shaw Brothers sequel to "The Sentimental Swordsman" was one of their highest grossing films in the studio's history. It's one of those oddball martial-world stories where various martial arts masters are all vying to be considered the best. The story picks up three years after the original film with with the titular swordsman trying to lead a peaceful life, but that life is disrupted when several martial world masters want to improve their ranking in the martial world. There isn't really much character development or much more to the story than that, except that the swordsman enlists an old friend to help him fight off these would be competitors. However, the fight scenes are quite good and I did like the fastest-gun-in-the-west storyline where every character is one of the best. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
