Former government agent Mace Sowell (Patrick Stewart) is convinced that his former supervisor, who is making a bid for the United States presidency, is out to kill him. But his recent diagnoses of Alzheimer's leads his daughter (Kimberly Williams) to dismiss his paranoia. To defend himself from the threats on his life, imagined or not, Mace holes up in his home and fills it with deadly security precautions -- and his daughter hires a psychiatrist (Héctor Elizondo) to watch over him.

I only watched this for Patrick Stewart. Mace Sowell (Stewart) claims he used to be a government assassin and everyone thinks he's senile and crazy. Decking out his home with guns and security, he trains with drills and scares off housekeepers and maids. His daughter and son-in-law are worried, and everyone seems to be against the paranoid conspiracy theorist. The first half plays like a weird comedy, and it gets thrilling near the end and finishes with a whimper rather than a bang.

Don't confuse this with the 2012 film Safe House, but if you do you will find a very enjoyable movie that Patrick Stewart plays a very comical part in. The story itself is interesting, Moral of the story what seems unbelievable is almost always true fact. 4 1/2 stars 8-3-12
