Even in death, British reporter Joe Strombel (Ian McShane) is dedicated to completing his final piece on London's notorious Tarot Card Killer, and American journalism student Sondra Pransky (Scarlett Johansson) discovers during a magician's (Woody Allen) performance that she can communicate with Joe. He hands her the story of a lifetime, and the chase leads directly to British aristocrat Peter Lyman (Hugh Jackman), with whom she has fallen dangerously in love.

Scoop is far from Woody Allen's best works, but Scarlett Johansson's cute nativity as a young journalist and Hugh Jackman's deceptive charm as a wealthy bachelor make this rom-com worth a one-time watch.

Among the films Woddy Allen shot in UK maybe this one is his best achievement. I've always thought Match Point was a very overrated film. But Scoop is Woddy Allen at his best. The beginning is just perfect and the film is very well crafted and enjoyable. The critics panned the film.. But sometimes the critics are wrong.. Watch the film if you have not seen it yet and maybe you would be greatly surprised

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é ruim, o elenco é bom, mas ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, e a cena que o Peter lymar tenta matar a Sondra pransky é ruim, o cara joga ela no mar e vai embora, em vez de matar batendo nela, não jogou a guria no mar e depois avisou a polícia e ela apareceu para dizer que não morreu.
