Leo M the best ending movie that I ever seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Koi P An inspiration to believe in yourself when no one else does. Sly shares words of wisdom along with his life and experiences. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Luke G A riveting and heartfelt auto-documentary on a significant 80s movie star. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Joaquim M A really good doc about Sly . I found it very interesting to see and learn about his perspectives about his career and his Life . Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review jeanieforever I wish I had enough money to make a documentary to narrate about myself. Cmon Sly, your life has got to be way more interesting than this. I mean, you skipped right over your early work in film without even mentioning the porn flicks. The last thing we needed was a sanitized timeline with wide lens views of your house and life-size Rocky statues. I hope there's a Sly 2. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Joel H If you already know the basics of Sylvester Stallone's story, you're not going to be surprised by Sly. This documentary is fairly basic & surprisingly brief as it quickly glides over the history of the famous actor. It feels almost as if you're chatting with Stallone over lunch. The movie gets somewhat repetitive as it talks about how he was underestimated and then overcame the odds, but then it hits you with an unexpected emotional punch that leaves you thinking about what really matters. Sly isn't a groundbreaking documentary, but it's worth a watch if you want to get to know him a little better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This is a film about Sylvester Stallone made by people who love Sylvester Stallone. Nov 29, 2023 Full Review Peter Rainer FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's very pro-Sly... but be that as it may, I enjoyed it. He's a fascinating guy. Nov 29, 2023 Full Review John Nugent Empire Magazine It might follow a linear storytelling path a little too strictly, but Sylvester Stallone is a bracingly honest documentary subject, and fans in particular will take much from this look at a life and career well lived. Rated: 3/5 Nov 13, 2023 Full Review Donal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) A lively documentary how he wrote his movie career into overdrive with Rocky and worked out his Daddy issues in subsequent scripts. Feb 5, 2024 Full Review Bill Newcott Movies For The Rest Of Us Stallone offers generous clips and candid conversation, but there’s always the sense that the star, while pretending to lift the curtain on his eventful life, is illuminating his story with a mighty narrow spotlight. Rated: 3/5 Dec 21, 2023 Full Review Aditya Mani Jha Firstpost Despite playing it safe and steering clear of controversial topics, Nrtflix's Sly is a well-made, well-intentioned documentary that provides some fascinating insights into one of Hollywood's last mega-stars.
