      Reviews Theater star Jimmy Canfield (Joe E. Brown) has no interest in fighting in World War I. But to impress his fiancée, Mary (Beverly Roberts), and dodge another girlfriend, Bernice (Winifred Shaw), Jimmy pretends to join the Army. It turns out he joined for real, and Jimmy soon finds himself in France, where he falls for Yvonne (Joan Blondell) and is arrested as a spy.
