Leslie Felperin Guardian If only the film were a little bit smarter and less predictable, it might have had a chance of becoming a cult classic. Rated: 2/5 Sep 11, 2024 Full Review Neil Soans The Times of India While Subservience has moments of tension and stylish visuals, it ultimately doesn’t offer anything new to the AI thriller genre. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 14, 2025 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Yet another AI-gone-rogue movie, this sci-fi thriller tale isn't terrible and has some believable situations, but it's also a bit slack and suffers from comparisons to similar, better movies. Rated: 2/5 Dec 25, 2024 Full Review Jesse Hassenger Decider An efficient and entertaining perils-of-automation sci-fi thriller with that extra bit of juice from casting a notorious personality at its center... Dec 21, 2024 Full Review Tom Meek Cambridge Day A silly concept well-played, thanks largely to lead Megan Fox. Kashgar A What an absolute load of derivative, low rent bollocks Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/25 Full Review Ang D This film is a rip-off of a program called Humans that was shown in the UK. Except humans was good. I will not get that 1hr 45 mins back of my life that I wasted watching this film. The acting was wooden and why did she fancy him?? No real story. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Xavier A Wow was this bad. Totally unwatchable. If they could’ve at least tried to save it with some nude scenes with Megan Fox or something, but Jesus was this bad. Totally unwatchable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Fred U AI robots are not far in the future. The movie grapples with the inherent difficulty that they lack human judgement, in particular in the presence of situations requiring moral judgement. AI has been known to go off the rails or misjudge. Think about the difficulty of having a self-driving car “deciding” who should live in an unfortunate accident, when a death is unavoidable. So the movie — in my view, much better than other movies in that genre — grapples with that issue. The SIM brought home fulfills the instructions, but not in a way a human would interpret them. Unrealistic? Perhaps not. There are reviewers writing that the SIM develops emotions or becomes conscious, but that’s not true: look carefully, it just carries out its instructions. If the film had deepened that theme, it could have been great. Instead, it eventually veers off into an action / mean robots go rampant … which is unfortunate, and which has been done better elsewhere. The actors are great. Praise in particular to Megan Fox, who plays the robotic SIM as it is meant to be and, frankly, likely will be. Watching this film ( the first two thirds ) is watching our future. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Audience Member Movie had a interesting plot how ai robots can make things better and worst but director did a blunder mistake so the movie went in a different way no one expects that ofcourse had to accept it movie is lacking of interest in some scenes they're too subtle for us megan fox deleverd a satisfied performance as I didn't expected from her when I heard she is in the movie Guys you can watch this movie it's has some elements which works and some time waste scenes which makes us feel bored if you love megan fox you can watch her raw performance as ai robots Alice looks perfect as robot . Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Ravindra S Given the largely known fact that Megan Fox can't act to save her life (or her career) , this was a casting coup of sorts.. her dolled up plasticky face and the absence of any expressions is a perfect fit for the role of a cyborg. Not much is in the movie except her and the rest just drag their feet around.. Although it was a good bundle of Sci-fi, sex and violence..a good enough recipe for almost success.
