      Critics Consensus

More of a string of formulaic set pieces than an actual action thriller, Terminal Velocity ends up going nowhere fast.

MARCOS B eu gostei !!! amo charlie sheen em todos filmes Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/08/23 Full Review Steve D Every bit as dumb as it sounds. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Largely forgotten and dismissed action flick, but I don't know why, it's a blast. Sheen shows off how much of a star he could've really been. Loads of charisma and a ton of really impressive action set pieces. I love the bumbling hero archetype he's playing here. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/07/20 Full Review shae m Absolute fun ride... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/03/20 Full Review brendan n Terminal Velocity is an interesting action film. It plays out like an Alfred Hitchcock film and expects you to go along for the ride. Great stunts and Sheen cleverly cast in the lead. He saves this from being an average action film. Drop Zone was the competing film at the time and this was the better film. The film isn't overly serious and it doesn't expect you to treat it this way. I enjoyed the film and will be interested in checking out another team up of Twohy and Sheen on The Arrival. 22/04/2019 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member parts ok but cheesy dumb story Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ryan Gilbey Independent on Sunday As a wise-cracking sky-diving instructor, Charlie Sheen wears his usual look of someone who has just been asked a really difficult question (like: how come your career has lasted this long?). Dec 13, 2017 Full Review Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune Some of the comic writing undercuts the preposterous story. Rated: 2/4 Jan 16, 2013 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly Rated: D+ Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Although the realism is at a staggering low, the screenplay is surprisingly clever, using quite a few jokes and suspenseful situations for impressive comedic effect. Rated: 4/10 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a perfectly watchable (if entirely forgettable) little thriller... Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 8, 2019 Full Review Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal A brisk, sleek wrong-man story that's easily the better of 1994's dueling skydiver movies and, had a darker Charlie Sheen from another universe not swapped places with our own, might have made the actor Kurt Russell's action-movie heir apparent.
