Terminator: Dark Fate represents a significant upgrade over its immediate predecessors, even if it lacks the thrilling firepower of the franchise's best installments.

Angie Han Mashable There's only so much even Hamilton and Davis can do with such one-note characters (though Hamilton, at least, seems like she's having a ton of fun), and Dark Fate doesn't seem especially interested in seeing them as anything more. Dec 6, 2019 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times It's fine for two hours. But all the diversity window dressing can't hide Dark Fate's inconsequentiality. Bean The storyline was good, but like most Terminator movies, there were boring parts in the middle. I also didn't particularly like the cgi in this one. Seemed a little bit off the mark from what's possible these days. Maybe they rushed that part of the making of this film. Action was pretty good, though. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Leajohn way better than it had any right to be. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/12/22 Full Review Austin was such a great film, non-stop action. entertaining through the whole film! 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/21 Full Review Anthony A OMG, this movie sucked. Ever since T2 came out they have been trying to do a decent Terminator movie and they have all been so bad. I had so much hope for this one because James Cameron was coming back. This movie was so disappointing. Take the great lines from the first 2 and just give them an update and reuse them. It also completely negates the events of Terminator 2 (which it seemed every Terminator movie since then has done). Save your money. The credits should basically be an apology for wasting 2 hours of your life. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/16/21 Full Review Shawn D I think this movie undeservedly suffered from negative reviews, dooming it before it ever even entered theaters. The retcon was a clever way to explain the lack of continuity with the other sequels. The CG younger versions of Sarah, John and the Model 101 were some of the best CG photo realism I've ever seen. (Looks like you can't trust your eves anymore. Just like in The Running Man, we're done for now that big brother has the ability to fabricate convincing video evidence wholecloth.) That scene wowed me as much as the first time I saw the T1000 from Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Because we exist in a multiverse with infinite possibilities, writers did a great job, in my opinion, in having small differences from the other movies. As for the action, after the opening scene the accelerator pedal was mashed firmly to the floor. This movie.was nowhere near as cool as T2 was, but it was definitely worth watching.. Now, a bunch of bad reviews and the resulting poor box office take have ruined any chance of further sequels. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/07/20 Full Review Audience Member I thought this movie was a very nice complement to the original 2 Terminator movies. This was great work by many from the original terminator crew. Great job. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
