Jason Bailey Flavorwire Cumberbatch helps elevate what could've been a rote boilerplate biopic into a film with the spark of a live wire. Jun 7, 2016 Full Review Mara Reinstein Us Weekly A moving tribute to an extraordinary man. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 19, 2015 Full Review David Stratton The Australian What could have been a very dry and earnest film emerges, under the intelligent direction of Norwegian Morten Tyldum working from a screenplay by Graham Moore, as a gripping and still rather extraordinary story. Rated: 4/5 Jan 5, 2015 Full Review Benjamín Harguindey EscribiendoCine The movie goes beyond requiem thanks to Cumberbatch's performance, the supporting actors and the surprising intensity of a spy thriller set mainly in two rooms and a garage. You will be seeing a calculated crowd pleaser with perfect delivery, through and through. Rated: 5/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Sofía Ochoa Rodríguez En Filme The aftertaste is somewhat schizophrenic: the founder of one of the pillars of our time was both a hero and martyr. It's a riddle the film doesn't try to solve. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4/5 Nov 23, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Allie F The story of Alan Turing and what others did at Bletchley Park is one that the world should know about. Of course, for cinematic purposes, the narrative heavily leans on a specific storyline that does take artistic license on the actual events that took place historically. The truth is that there were many heroes in the war, and there are still other untold stories of efforts just as valiant. That said, Cumberbatch and Knightly did a great job in conveying some of the complex feelings and emotions that arose from many difficult situations. Despite the departure from some historical details and facts, it's a well-made film. One I've watched multiple times since. It's heartbreaking what Turing had to undergo after what he helped do, and definitely a tear jerker for that reason. Great movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/22 Full Review Nick R Outstanding performances from everyone, but Cumberbatch especially. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/24 Full Review Roshith B Benedict Cumberbatch is proves himself as one of the best actor in hollywood While we watch him as Sherlock, Doctor Strange, Dragon and as khan in star trek but in this film he portrays as Alan Turing and he nailed it.... This is why people has huge fanbase for Benedict Cumberbatch all over the world Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/26/24 Full Review Tamara S This is not a genre that usually interests me but Benedict Cumberatch was the lead so I thought I’d at least watch the first 10 minutes…….I was hooked! Being based on a true story doesn’t usually make it a must watch film but this one is. The way this was told, the acting and the story itself just keeps you glued to the screen……honestly it’s Cumberbatch nailing it that makes this a film you really shouldn’t miss Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/24 Full Review Robert G The Imitation Game is a great biopic period piece that is definitely entertaining from beginning to end. Great acting, well developed story that has a lot of historical truth to it but also some inaccuracies. If you can overlook that, this is definitely worth a watch.
