Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends are being threatened by diesel engines like the surly Diesel 10 and his sidekicks Splatter and Dodge. Even the magical Mr. Conductor, who has always traveled between the train world and the human world of Shining Time Station, is losing his powers and sparkle. In the middle of this crisis, Lily meets up with Mr. Conductor on the way to visit her lonely grandfather Burnett Stone. Brave Thomas reminds them all that "even little engines can do big things."

Kids these days demand cutting edge special effects or at least a clever plot with cute charectors. This movie has neither, having lost in its Americanization what the British original did so right.

This movie is so amazing and beautiful and even a tons of fun! I watched it all the time as a 4 year old and I just wish everyone can see the charm of this movie instead of hating it for being confusing and drug related. It's called magic people. Magic isn't drugs it's a happy feeling inside that you feel whenever something positive happened. Thomas and the Magic Railroad is the greatest and not "the" greatest Thomas and Friends movie of all time and I hope everyone will soon realize that this movie is such as charm and fun that they give it credit for and hoping that they realize that they treated it too harshly and change their opinions for the better. Other than that this movie is fantastic 10/10.

I love Thomas so much that i wish that for his 80th anniversary we get to see Thomas and the magic railroad director's cut in theaters but with a PG rating because they say that Diesel 10 and P.T.Boomer as too scary for younger kids but their suppose to be scary because their the main villains of the movie so a PG rating will be good enough and the older Thomas fans will be happy to finally see the director's cut of the movie and with new vfx as well if britt allcroft and the new Thomas owners make a new deal to re-release the movie. So please release the Allcroft cut of the movie!
